Lance Nicol has been with the Yakovlevs since the inception of the team, where he takes the position of either Yak 3, or 4. A former Harrier pilot, he now flies for Cathay Pacific, and divides his time between his homes in the UK, Hong Kong and Thailand. He will be getting married this season to his long-time partner Sian in Salisbury. The team will display at their wedding.

In his spare time, Lance enjoys skydiving, and training with the Yakovlevs as often as he can.
