Iain Jack, general manager of Shell lubricants, surprised team leader Jez Hopkinson with a new addition to his fleet of aircraft - a miniature Yak50 model, made especially for the team.
He presented Jez with the model during Aero Expo, an exhibition held near London, dedicated to aviation. 

"We are delighted to give this to Jez," Iain said. "The Yakovlevs and Shell have worked together for years, and we hope to continue to strengthen this relationship further."
The model was given in recognition of the many years Shell and the Yakovlevs have been working together as partners.

"I really appreciate this gesture from Shell, which cements our relationship," Jez said with a smile. "This will get a spot on my desk right away!"
The Yakovlevs and Shell worked together in the recent past to create products such as Ondina EL, an environmentally-friendly and food-safe smoke oil, used by the team to create their impressive smoke patterns, without harming the pilots or the aircraft's paint.
